In the far north of Brazil lies Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, a surreal landscape where endless white dunes cradle pools of crystal-clear blue water, forming a fleeting oasis each rainy season. On this morning, the sky was a brilliant canvas of blue, mirrored by the shimmering lagoons below. But nature’s mood shifted in an instant: a burst of tropical rain swept across the horizon, its dark clouds rolling in but not yet strong enough to erase the day’s clarity. Racing the rain, I captured this moment, the dramatic contrast of sunlight and shadow, the anticipation in the air. It is a reminder of the ever-changing beauty of this unique place, where even the briefest moments are worth chasing before they vanish with the passing storm
